Krystine Poindexter, RAC

Assistant Administrator

Krystine Poindexter, originally from South Louisiana, was inspired to pursue a career in behavioral health due to her family’s struggles with mental health and substance abuse. Since 2017, she has worked in residential treatment settings, providing guidance and support to individuals and families facing addiction. 

Krystine has been with Second Chances since its opening in 2020, serving as Assistant Administrator where she oversees daily operations and collaborates closely with the intake and business development departments. As a Registered Addiction Counselor (RAC) with the Louisiana Addictive Disorder Regulatory Authority, she is committed to breaking the stigma surrounding addiction in her community. She also serves as the secretary for the Louisiana Recovery Coalition, advocating for improved recovery services and community-based solutions. 

Krystine is deeply passionate about helping others and finds fulfillment in witnessing the transformation of clients and their families as they progress through the stages of recovery.
