Josh Johnson, LPC
Clinical Director
Josh Johnson, a native of Monroe, Louisiana, brings a deeply personal connection to his work in addiction recovery, having overcome a 15-year battle with addiction before achieving sobriety in 2005. His own journey serves as the foundation for his commitment to helping others find freedom from addiction. When approached by his former colleagues, Riley and Krystine, to join the team at Second Chances, Josh was eager to contribute to their shared mission of supporting individuals in recovery.
Josh holds a master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University (2009) and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Louisiana. Since joining Second Chances as Clinical Director in December 2021, he has supervised counselors and developed treatment programs. For Josh, the most rewarding aspect of his work is witnessing individuals break free from addiction and regain control of their lives.
