Amanda began her career in addiction recovery in 2017 after transitioning from a nine-year background in veterinary medicine. She quickly discovered her passion for the field, drawing on her experience in hospital management and psychiatric nursing. Certified by the Crisis Prevention Institute since 2016, she has extensive knowledge of co-occurring disorders. 

Since 2018, she has held nurse management positions and has recently moved into utilization review. In this role, she leverages her knowledge to work directly with insurance companies, ensuring that individuals seeking treatment at Second Chances receive the maximum duration of care in the residential setting.
